Another Day in Manhattan (2)
Some more pictures...
Shot from 2nd floor of a Barnes & Noble
And then I went downtown, planning to walk through the Brooklyn Bridge. KC (Deutsche Bank's analyst) and I took a taxi to Pace University...
Lower Manhattan view
And we walked onto the famous bridge. Lots of people are walking or jogging on it.
Looking south from the bridge, it's the WTC-less financial district.
Lamp. I wonder if the little rods were for people 100 years ago to climb up to light up the lamp when it was still gas-powered.

Under the Bridge (at Brooklyn's end)
Here we came to the River Cafe, and later on having dinner there.

Barge Music. Very cozy concert place in the little barge. My favorite spot in New York. This day the program was a string quartet (by a Russian composer) and a piano quintet (by an American).
The beautiful gloaming (at intermission)
From the River Cafe. Pitifully the financial district was not so twinkling because it's Sunday night.
Xmas tree at New York Palace hotel as the happy ending of my day in Manhattan.

我很尬意famous bridge那張
Surprisingly, it looks much better off the Brooklyn Bridge than on it :-)
The Beautiful Gloaming creates a special atmosphere there, I like it!
